In 2020 and 2021 we celebrated 60 years of Indigenous excellence at the Center for Indian Education with a virtual webinar series titled "Modern Legacies: Celebrating Indigenous Excellence." This webinar series served to honor the legacies of previous directors of CIE, feature distinguished Indigenous scholars, and hear from emerging Indigenous educators.
