About the Center for Indian Education

Over its 50-year history, the Center for Indian Education's mission has been continually revisited and reinterpreted to reflect changing contexts and evolving needs. In this section of the site we honor the center's history and past achievements and share its revitalized vision going forward: a long-term commitment to tribal nations of Arizona and to ASU, while expanding our emphasis on world-class research, the preparation of a new generation of Indigenous scholars, and our involvement with a global community of scholars, policy makers, and practitioners in Indigenous education.
