Go to class, hit the gym – and check the lizard traps; it's a typical day for ASU students involved in the lab of field ecologist professor Heather Bateman. The professor and her students in applied biological sciences are taking advantage of the ASU Polytechnic campus' proximity to the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport so they can monitor herpetofauna (a type of reptile) populations.
